We have finalized the details regarding the second auction. The auction has started, so the validator candidates should get ready to bid!
Auction duration
The second auction starts Tuesday the 9th of June, 2020, at 11:59 UTC. The auction will run for 14 days, or until the 36th bid.
Bids and prices
Validator candidates can bid at the auction website. The auction is a Dutch auction, starting price is 50,000,000 TLN. The price will then decline until the auction runs for 14 days, or until the 36th bid. The minimum slot price is 5,000 TLN. This is the price at the end of the auction. The minimum participation is 15 bids. If less than 15 bids are submitted throughout the auction period, it will fail.
Validator candidates
We were thrilled to see good participation levels for validator candidates. The auction contract has been deployed, and it includes 124 addresses that can take part in the auction. This list also contains the addresses of the candidates from the first auction. So if you submitted your address either for the first or the second auction, you could participate.
Validator period
If the auction is successful, the validator period is going to be nine months. The stakes locked for the auction will be released on the 23rd of March, 2021, at 11:59 UTC.
The validators from the first period will be able to withdraw their stakes Wednesday, 08th of July, 2020 00:00 UTC.
